With the top two in the division losing, Deeping were always going to find a Grantham side desperate for the win to close the gap to the leaders.
And so it proved with Michael Jacklin getting the winner in time added on.
Of course, Grantham will insist that they deserved the win, with Rangers arguing that they were good for a point.
What is true is that Deeping managed the first half effectively and were frustrating the hosts whilst playing a part in the match themselves.
However, Nathan Stansfield was left from a corner to open the scoring early in the second half.
Rangers made some substitutions and tweaks, and it was Harvey Thorne (pictured) who came off the bench to link with fellow sub Josh Randall to get the visitors level.
And until deep into time added on that looked like being that.
We were beaten but matched the side who, on current form, stand a great chance of getting promoted. That needs to be taken into the upcoming matches to get some much-needed points on the board.
Tuesday is another chance to get us back on track.
