Arun and Jack look ahead to this tough encounter for us
We look forward to building on our perfect start to our 2025/26 league campaign as we travel up north to Mansfield Woodhouse to face Sherwood Colliery this Saturday.
Having seen out Ashby Ivanhoe in a 1-0 win on opening day and beat Harrowby United in a dominant 4-0 home victory, we look to carry on our momentum as we travel up to Nottinghamshire this weekend.
Our aforementioned 2 opening fixtures have currently landed us 2nd place with 6 points, only missing out by goal difference by the margin of one goal, against Newark Town who have enjoyed a 5-3 and 4-0 victories in their first two opening fixtures.
However, Sherwood are hot on our tails in 3rd place, having won their opening fixture by battering Gresley Rovers 5-1 away, and gaining a further point at home in a goalless draw most recently, against the newly promoted Clay Cross Town.
Sherwood Colliery were most recently relegated from the Northern Premier League Division 1 after finishing 20th in a 22-team league, having just won the United Counties League (our current division) the season prior.
Let’s keep up our perfect start to the 2025/26 league campaign this weekend! UTR
