Michael Duggan showed his value once more with a number of saves keeping Rangers in this match before promotion chasing Lincoln scored a late winner to break the hearts of the travelling fans.
But as with the home match against Loughborough the previous week there were signs that the Clarets were starting to settle under the new leadership of Johnny Alflatt.
Hopes of a morale boosting win remain high with the return of Matt Sparrow at the weekend and the recent appearances of Aaron Eyett back in the squad.
