Makeshift Rangers get perfect festive start

Deeping got their stop start 2023/2024 UCL going again this afternoon with a comfortable 2-0 win away to Kimberley Miners Welfare.

Unseaonsably warm weather saw Deeping travel without the likes of Matt Sparrow, JP Duncliffe, Tom Waumsley and David Burton-Jones.

Travelling fans and those following the match back home need not have worried as Elliott Foster put Rangers ahead on the half hour.

A competitive second half saw the visiting keeper Aaron Butcher make a couple of key saves before Josh Sennett made the points save in the last minute.

With local derbies coming up over the festive period this will be seen as a vital three points in the battle to remain in the upper reaches of the table.
