We go again in the cups and our next league fixture is Newark and Sherwood the last Saturday of this month. That game again is another important one if we want to stay in and around that top area.

We need to make sure that we get we get maximum points from these two games this month.

But to focus on last night. We started the game really well and we went one nil up. Then we had we didn't really use the momentum from that goal. We had a couple of opportunities to score a second. We didn't make it count.

And then as Sleaford do, they grew into the game and made it really difficult for us. When they equalised we should have done better in the first phase of the play. He's put it in the top corner to be fair, a great strike, but we have to do better before that.

We can then eradicate him being able to do what he did to make it one one.

We defended really well for large periods of the second half of the first half, if that makes sense. Then we had a little spell right at the end of the first half for five minutes. Maybe we could have nicked a goal there?

I would have been happy to go in at halftime two one up. It wasn't to be but we had the chances.

We had a good chat at halftime covering areas where we can do better. And we came out second half like we did first half.

We started really well and we've got the goal again, and it was just pleasing that we then didn't go and concede a second. We held out and we managed their pressure but also at the same time we still had opportunities in that second half as well.

Good opportunities to make it a bit more comfortable. The good thing is with games like last night is that I think last season, we could possibly have dropped two points there. We go on to concende that second goal. This shows how how well the lads are doing and how they have come in the last 12 months.

We are able to go to places like Sleaford grind out results and come away with a two one victory and ultimately three valuable points so really pleasing in general.

For every single one of the players individually and as a collective, everyone did their bit last night and we got the result. Good stuff
