Students get the better of Rangers

Deeping Rangers long unbeaten record stretching back to August was ended at the weekend as Loughborough (who were the last team to beat us) took the three points.

"Rangers started the game well taking the lead through Spencer Tinkler after a bit of head tennis but couldn't hold the lead as a long range shot beat Aaron Butcher to make it one all.

Just after half time they went ahead after getting in through our right hand side defensive channel and unleashing a brilliant shot from the edge of the box.

This time it was us who hit back immediately through Elliot Foster and the game started to get a bit stretched with the home side starting to get involved with the officials.

The home side were awarded a controversial free kick with ten minutes to play and executed a well worked free kick to take the three points. "

Rangers will look to start building a new run when they face Coventry United in the UCL Cup this Saturday.
