Rangers downed by 'Stones

As has been the case on a few occasions this season, Deeping found their cup pathway blocked by resilient and confident opponents.

The introduction of Jack Wilson at half time had an instant impact. Within seconds he had been penalised for giving away a penalty, the linesman reversing the referees decision downgrading to a free kick.

Wilsons next action was a snap shot across Aaron Butcher at the other end to open the scoring. Minutes later he ghosted in at the far post to bundle in a second and leave Rangers with a mountain to climb.

Dan Dougill pulled one back almost instantly and a game that looked like it might be seperated by penalties during the first half was now raining goals.

The revivial ended there though with two quick goals on the break seeing Deeping out of the Hinchingbrooke Cup for this season and Blackstones marching on to the semi finals.
