3rd minute lead, were rarely in danger of losing despite this being a close tussle throughout.
From kick off Deeping made for the home goal with Scott Mooney seeing his shot from the corner of the box missing at the far post.
The first goal was not long in coming, Wellingborough were caught as David Burton-Jones won the ball in the centre circle to thrust through home back line to slide the ball past the advancing Ollie Reynolds on 3mins.
Town responded, Jeremiah Adams made space down the left, he fed Danny Mortimer to whip in a wicked cross that clipped the defender and out of play, Mortimer was played in by Adam Randall’s ball over the visiting defence only to see his cross cleared by Dan Flack.
Deeping’s Henry Dunn’s quick free kick found Flack in behind the Doughboys, his pull back picked out Scott Coupland to lay off for Dunn to lash goalwards where a good parry by Reynolds saw the ball out for a corner
At other end Adams persistence and trickery saw him into the Rangers goal area but tight defending from Jonny Clay only allowed a small sight of the goal and the shot hit the side net.
Town were given a ‘cheap’ free kick 20 yards out, Justin Dowling’s curling kick high over the bar, Jack Wisniewski’s deep cross had Flack scampering to clear off the line at the back post.
Having withstood some home side dominance Rangers made it 2-0 in the 42 min, Coupland was found on the edge of home box, his deft touch fed Charlie Coulson to advance between 2 defenders, his shot finding the net despite the effort of Reynolds to make the save.
There was still time for Town to go close, Flack and Luke Hunnings both attempted to clear the same ball, it fell for Adam Speight who saw his shot brilliantly saved by Richard Stainsby.

The Doughboys were another goal down in the 1st minute of the second half, Dan Schiavi crossed to find Mooney, his touch wrong footed the home keeper and allowed him to slide into an unguarded net.
Despite that the home continued to show spirit, Mortimer’s long ball would have found Adams except for Clay’s superb stretch to nick the ball away.
Speight’s cross field ball allowed Albert Akinremi space to run into the area, his shot being saved by Stainsby, from the corner Stainsby’s punch clearance was met by Joe Rich whose drive hit the massed Deeping defenders and cleared by Tom Smith.
Rangers Mooney chased down Rich, he won the ball to cross where Randall nicked the ball away as Coupland prepared to finish.
The Doughboys scored on 74 mins, Dowling sent Speight free, his pull back picked out Akinremi who shot past the Deeping defenders into the net.
It was Rangers who quelled the fightback on 81 mins, Mooney fed Jason Kilbride, his low cross went into the home goal area where Tom Waumsley was waiting to finish from three yards.
Again the Doughboys came back, Clay was adjudged to have fouled in the box and Wisniewski stepped up to smash home the penalty past the dive of Stainsby (88 mins).
Another (good) three points for the Clarets from a tricky fixture against competitive opponents.
