Deeping were quick out of the blocks and took a 5th minute lead when David Burton-Jones rose to meet Dan Schiavi’s free kick and power his header past the helpless home keeper Richard Roberts.
Before the home could settled they found themselves two down, a Rangers ball from defence saw Scott Mooney touch onto Scott Coupland who delicately lobbed the advancing Roberts to find the unguarded net on 6 mins.
Huntingdon’s Addie Staffieri cut inside but fired over and Jake Waterworth met Ben Colmer’s corner only to glance the header wide.
The visitors were controlling things but met stubborn resistance from the spirited home team, Coupland’s centre from wide left was touched wide by the arriving Will Bird, Mooney curled towards the far post to see Roberts tip the ball away.
With additional time being played the home side surprised Deeping, Colmer’s inswinging free kick was directed wide of the Deeping keeper Stainsby by Jordan Brockett to reduce the arrears (45 +2 mins)

Rangers got a half time roasting from the Management and scored again within 30 seconds, Charlie Coulson fed Dan Flack to cross into the home box, Scott Mooney controlled on his chest, turned and drove into the far corner.
Within a minute it was 4 for Rangers, Dan Schiavi pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the area to shoot into the top corner (1-4 – 47 mins).
Deeping were dominant, Burton-Jones supplied a pass for Mooney to latch onto where Roberts anticipated and saved well, the respite was short lived as Rangers 5th goal arrived on 52 mins, Tom Smith’s cross was layed off by Mooney for Coupland to drive home.
Huntingdon were shell shocked and another goal came on 54 mins, Flack played Bird into the box, his pull back allowed Coupland to run the ball over the line.
Bird saw his effort saved by Roberts as he connected to Coupland’s lay off, the seventh goal came on 67 mins, sub Jason Kilbride advanced, his pass found Coupland who squared for Will Bird to finish.
Coupland got his 4th goal of the night when he applied the finish to a loose ball from the edge of the box on 78 mins and finished the scoring on 83 mins despatching a penalty past the dive of Roberts
Despite everything the home team still kept going, Colmer’s quick free kick allowed Luke Young a rare opportunity but the shot was off target.
In additional time Deeping missed a glorious chance as Kilbride skied Bird’s pass with the goal gaping.
Another good result for the Clarets that saw them rise to 4th in the table – still a long way to go in the season.
