The game started tentatively and from a Rangers free kick the visitors won the ball and a quick break from the Jets' Wayne Gladdy looked dangerous but his pass towards John Daily was intercepted by the retreating Tom Smith.

Deeping's Jamie Graham's shot was deflected to Jezz Goldson-Williams at the near post and his over head effort flashed across the face of the goal.

Goldson-Williams did well down the right, went past Jets' Sam Phillips to cross for Graham but Oxhey keeper Will Baxters smart take removed the opportunity

A rare visitors raid saw Daily's corner kick find Tim O'Mara at the far post and his header rebounded from the post.

Rangers' Dan Flack won the ball and sped down the right, he found Graham who cut insdie and fired goalwards to see Baxter save with the ball falling to Charlie Coulson whose effort was weak and taken by Baxter and as half time approached good Deeping play saw the ball fall to Matt Carter just outside the box and his fierc drive brought a finger tip save from visiting keeper Baxter.

Deeping started tthe second half brightly, a Graham corner almost found home skipper David Burton-Jones at the far post and then Burton-Jones was on the end of Joe Braithwaite's chip into the box and his header was tipped around the post by Baxter at full sttretch.

The breakthrough came came on 54 mins, Graham's inswinging free kick flicked the head of visiting defender Tyler Connor and found it's way into the far corner to give Deeping the advantage.

Jordan Avis did well down the right to find Graham but his effort was blocked by Phillips, Dan Flack played Goldson- Williams free whose effort forced Baxter into action at the near post and then Braithwaite's 25 yard effort was just over the bar.

Oxhey were reduced to 10 players on 72 minutes when Shepherd recieved his second yellow card - this was one of eight picked up by the visitors (Rangers also picked up two).

Rangers sub Tom Palmer played in Goldson-Williams, he won the tussle but a poor touch saw the cahnce lost.

Deeping secured the victory on 82 minutes - Goldson-Williams released Graham who returned the ball into the path of Jezz Goldson-Williams whose side foot effort found the inside of the post.

Rangers secured another win in the national competition and make the 3rd Round for only the second time in thier history.
