Skipper happy to be at home this weekend.

We hope the fans enjoy our first home game, we are certainly ready to put on a good show!
- Taylor Reade - DRFC Captain

As part of our build up to the weekends first Ladies home match, captain Taylor Reade follows up on the piece with Manager Steve Devonport to tell us more.

Representing Deeping Rangers FC first ever women’s football team is an honour and we are all very exciting to be apart of history playing in the first home ladies game at the stadium.

I’m very lucky to captain a fantastic team. We are a team of hard workers who have a real passion for football. Having the opportunity to play and represent locally is fantastic and something we are all grateful for. I’m very proud of the team that has been put together and we are very fortunate to have incredibly supportive coaches in Steve and Amy.

We have started of the season strong with a 7-0 win and a 3-3 draw both away. We are playing great football and gelling more as a team every time we train/play. Being a newly formed team, it can take some time to get to grips with how one another likes to play, certain runs someone makes etc but this is something we are improving on week in and week out.

This weekend the fans should look out for our goal machine (Gemma Fitzjohn) who netted four goals in our opening game, our technically gifted midfield and a back line that works tirelessly to defend their own box.

We hope the fans enjoy our first home game, we are certainly ready to put on a good show!
