First Team Stat Attack

First Team Stat Attack

James Warrener20 Oct 2023 - 15:29

With no game this weekend, we have taken the chance to check in on the seasons progress.

You can see the full first team statistics by clicking here.

To save you some number crunching, here are some of the key statistics for this season.

TIP - Click on individual player names to go to a break down of their campaign to date.

Including friendlies (both pre and in season) the first team has played 26 matches in 2023/2024.

We have won 11 of those matches with goals aplenty as shown in the average match score.

Deeping 2.3 vs 2.0 Opponents

We are edging matches by 0.3 of a goal!

Tom Smith and Spencer Tinkler are the leading appearance makers with 17 appearances in the competitive matches we have had so far.

David Burton Jones is just behind them on 14 after his suspension for a red card.

Aaron Butcher, Callum Davies and Elliott Foster are also on 14.

It's close at the top of the goalscoring charts with Foster scoring 9 goals in 14 matches, a phenomenal record at a new club.

After joining from Cambridge City, Tom Waumsley has an equally good ratio with 6 goals in 11 appearances.

The best average comes from Avelino Vieira who has hit 5 in 9, a 56% strike rate.

We have 38 first team players in the database with 5 goalkeepers having been used so far. A stat that makes Aaron Butchers 14 appearances even more impressive!

As a result of all these performances we are currently 6th in the United Counties Premier Division North with 19 points from 12 games, a decent position after a slow start win wise.

3 home draws being the stand out stat that if converted could have seen us with 6 more points and second in the table.

In terms of the table, Lincoln United sit a place above us but dangerously have 3 games in hand, something that could make them real favourites for the division.

When looking at runs for the season, going the first four league matches without a win (and including the FA cup defeat) is the worst sequence so far. Our best run is five matches from the Pinchbeck league win to the Loughborough Students away defeat.
