With a wealth of experience across non-league football, Whaley joins us with an impressive managerial résumé including roles at Spalding United, Soham Town Rangers, Wisbech Town, Yaxley, and March Town United, with over 700 games in non-league management under his belt.

Commenting on joining Deeping Ranger Whaley said “I am delighted to be given the opportunity manage Deeping Rangers. I’ve always liked this club, as a visiting manager and also during a spell as assistant manager in 2006. From my first conversation with Richard it was clear that the club’s plans are exciting, and that their ambitions match mine. An impressive squad of players has been assembled and I am looking forward to working with them and the coaches at the club. Really pleased that Chris Lenton will be working with me again as my assistant. Can’t wait to get started”

Whaley brings a strong reputation for building winning teams and developing young talent, and Deeping Rangers fans can look forward to an exciting new chapter under his leadership. The club is eager to see the progress unfold as Whaley and his staff work to bring success to the Haydon Whitham Stadium.

DRFC Chairman Richard Knighton expressed his excitement about the new appointment:
"Deeping Rangers have spoken to a number of highly capable candidates, and we are delighted that Brett Whaley has accepted the position. His extensive experience and proven track record make him the ideal person to lead the club forward. Brett and his backroom team are already hard at work, developing the competitive squad that we believe will push us further up the table and ensure a successful 2024/25 season and beyond."

Stay tuned for more updates as Brett Whaley prepares the squad for the upcoming season.

Welcome to Deeping Rangers, Brett!
