After cup disappointment last week Deeping Rangers reserves returned to league action as they welcomed Whittlesey Athletic reserves.
Whittlesey certainly started the better within four minutes a great flick on sent the forward clean through on goal. But the keeper was quick out of the blocks to make a good save.
Minutes later Deeping had a golden opportunity to score. A great ball flashed across the face of goal a which was met by a forward but it hit the post. So close.
Midway through the half Whittlesey had a free kick that was floated into the box and which was headed towards goal but the keeper made a great save to keep the scores level.

Deeping started the 2nd half brightly haven another brilliant chance to score after the Whittlesey keeper spilt the ball but was cleared off the line by a defender.
Midway through the half and Whittlesey took the lead from a lovely ball into the box from a corner which was simply headed home at the near post.
Deeping pushed for an equaliser but time ticked on, on the 90th minute they had a corner which was met by a brilliant header but was cleared off the line and behind for another corner, Deeping tried the same tactic for the next corner and this time it paid off a brilliant header at the far post to equalise with practicly the last kick of the game to claim a point
