Deeping Rangers Reserves first home game of 2024 was a Peterborough senior cup semi final.
Warboys Town FC were the visitors from across the border in Cambridgeshire.
A much anticipated game drew a good number of home and away fans to the match which Deeping started very well and within 4 minutes were ahead.
There was a mix up with the Warboys defence and the goalkeeper allowed a shot to beat him from close range.
Warboys were rocked but grew into the game and on the 36 minute came very close with header going just wide of the post.
Minutes later Deeping had to scramble the ball of the line as Warboys continued to press. The home side kept battling but ultimately the pressure was too much as the side know as the Witches equalised with a minute to go until half time. It followed a lovely run down the wing before side stepping the keeper to finish.
