The Miners were founded in 1926 and were put straight in the Notts Spartan League. They had success in the 1970s and 80s, but their form has really flourished in more recent years.
They play their games at The Stag Ground and have done for 11 years. They took the ground from other Kimberly-based side Kimberly Town.
The Miners have had success of late; they won the United Counties League in the 2021/2022 season, and broke 2 club records (reaching the second qualifying round of the FA Cup in the 2022/23 season and reaching the second round of the FA Vase in the 2017/18 season).
Last season was a decent one for the Miners, they finished 2 spots above the Rangers in 10th, accumulating 59 points. Most of those points were thanks to James Shaw. He scored an astounding 41 times in that season, he was the joint top scorer!
This season, has been disappointing for the Miners, they are sat in 14th place and have 14 points.
They are sat 6 spots below the Rangers, who will be hoping they can pick up the 3 points in their efforts to reach the playoff places. Lets get behind the Rangers on Saturday!
