Deeping Rangers will (weather permitting) face a trip to face play off rivals Belper United in the United Counties Premier Division North tomorrow.

Both sides are in decent form and this one will be a decent indicator of who might be able to sustain a run towards promotion at the end of the season.

Here is the usual low down on our opponents as supplied by Arun and Jack.

Belper Utd were established in 1921, a little over 100 years ago. However up until fairly recently, success has been a rare occurrence for the Derbyshire based dub!

Belper play their games at Coronation Park (although not against DRFC today of course!) , and have done since only recently, they relocated from Christchurch Meadow at the start of this season.

Their new ground has a relatively large capacity of 2500 people.

Last season was a memorable one for Belper, they made history reaching the extra-preliminary round of the FA Cup, and also reaching the 3" round of the FA Vase; another club record! However, their league season was mediocre to say the least. They finished the season sat in 14th, 2 places behind the rangers, and accumulating just 43 points. The star in that disappointing season was Richard John Hanslow, who netted 27 times in 42 appearances for the dub that season.

This season is looking like a different story for Belper, they sit 5th in the table just inside the play off spots. But in spite of that, Belper United will be coming from a 4-0 loss to Kimberley Miners Welfare.

So, despite the gap in league position. The Rangers will be hoping they can pick up a valuable 3 points.
