The Lilywhites were founded in 1947 after taking over from old Skegness based teams, Skegness United and Skegness Blue Rovers.
The History of the club is rich to say the least. In the FA Cup 1955 was a record-breaking year as the club reached the first round of the competition, they bowed out to Worksop Town in a 4-0 defeat.
Another record was made nearly 30 years later in the FA Vase when the Lilywhites reached the 5th round, losing to Rainworth Miners Welfare in a tight 1-0 loss. Rainworth reached the final that year but lost 3-0 to Forest Green Rovers.
The Club had a successful season last year in the UCL Division North, finishing just 3 places above the Clarets. The Star for Skegness last season was Gary King who netted 18 goals and got 7 assists last season
The Club currently play their games at the Vertigo Stadium having moved there from old, historic ground, Burgh Road in 2017.
Its been a good start to the season for the club who sit on the same points as the Rangers; it should be a feisty battle to say the least!
In terms of ex-players and managers there is so many to choose from. Former Everton winger Gary Veall, ex Spurs midfielder George Hutchinson.
But one name stands out, former Skegness Town manager George Raynor. The Englishman was a highly decorated manager in the 1950s.
Taking Sweden to a World Cup finals and winning the Olympic Games with them in 1948 is just the beginning. Raynor also managed Italian giants Juventus and Lazio. He finished his managerial career with the Lilywhites.
