It was a second ecouraging performance in a row for Deeping, but still no win as Mansfield scored an 89th minute winner.
The home side were ahead early on and carried that into the break before Dan Dougill levelled for Rangers. After the great performance and point at promotion chasing Newark last week, there was hope that a real turnaround in the Clarets fortunes had arrived.
The hope lasted barely a minute before a red card from Dougill left the visitors half an hour to defend with ten men.
They managed 29 of those 30 minutes but the last winning goal for the hosts will see a real test of character and confidence in the Deeping camp ahead of a relegation battle this weekend with Kimberley Miners Welfare.
