Deeping took lead on 8 mins, Tom Smith’s long ball created hesitancy in the home defence , Scott Coupland seized the chance chipped the ball over keeper Sam Lomax, all 6’ 8” of him, to have the simple task of volleying in to the empty net.
Rangers were comfortable and dealt with the Poachers offensive threats keeping them well away from keeper Richard Stainsby while at the other end they found stout resistance from the home side, Scott Mooney wriggled his way from the attention of the home side to almost set up Jason Kilbride but Lomax was swiftly off his line to cut out the threat.
The visitors extended their lead on 34 mins, Dan Flack played the ball into the home box, Dan Schiavi met it, took a touch and then blasted the ball home from 12 yards.

Rangers keeper Stainsby made a fine save getting down low to push away Harry Allcock’s free kick as the home applied some pressure in the early part of the half, Allcock almost capitalised on a mix up between Smith and Jonny Clay as he collected the ball and lobbed the advancing Stainsby but saw the effort wide of the far post.
Deeping were close when Schiavi fed Coupland, his subtle touch freed Mooney into the home box who could only skew his cross shot into the side net.
The Clarets increased their lead on 62 mins with a spectacular 35 yard free kick from Schiavi that flew into the top corner of the goal past the helpless Lomax.
A driving run from Allcock into the visitors box set up Jordan Pick but his effort was straight at Stainsby.
A quick short corner saw Coupland cross into the box where Mooney was unlucky as his touch was too high, Coupland saw his lobbed effort palmed away from goal by Lomax and Mooney won the tussle with Fraser Howes but the lobbed effort was again too high.
Mooney did get his goal on 90 mins, he fed Schiavi wide who returned the pass to him to allow Mooney to drive the ball home.
