The top 2 teams in the 'red zone' produced a game worthy of its billing. Lots of skill, chances, good saves and great goals kept the 'excitable' crown enjoyed throughout..

Clarets stood up to the task and battled, tackled and matched their opponents in a very close first half, and despite coming close on a number of occasions they found themselves 1-0 down at half time.

An explosive start to the second half saw the Clarets score two goals in as many minutes, and despite conceeding an equaliser mid way through the second half the Clarets produced two stunning further goals to win the match.

The joy on the faces of the boys when the final whistle went was a really pleasing sight, and just reward for their efforts during the game.

The Clarets put in their best performance of the season 'so far' to win this cup tie. The boys took advantage of a big pitch and passed the ball round very well. Good movement off the ball created lots and space and chances, and they could have scored more than the four goals they did. A good team performance saw everyone getting the tackles, and a good defensive performance kept the Stamford chances to a minimum, which when they occured were well dealt with by Ben.

Clarets continued the good start to the season with a good win. Although the passing wasn't as good as the week before, it was pleasing to see the boys close the space down quickly and get the tackles in to win the ball back.

A good team performance, on a relatively small pitch. After a slow start the boys started to pass it around and began to control the game. Good movement and quick passing lead to some good goals which was backed up by good defending and goalkeeping in order to keep a clean sheet
