Super finish

9th May 2012

Pinchbeck Juniors 0 v 1 Deeping Rangers Blue

Deeping Rangers Blue 4 v 1 Bourne Juniors

Rangers finished the season with two good wins and cemented fourth place in the PJAL 1st division missing out on 3rd by just one point. Against Bourne 2 goals from Joe Hussey and strikes from Jack Baker and Conor Burd saw them home in a good all round team performance.
The final game of the season saw a tough away trip to Pinchbeck and the return of "the Rangers of old", tight defending tough battling in midfield and some fine attacking moves saw the Blues win 1 - 0 thanks to Ryan Cotterells 2nd half strike with some great football played and every single player having played their part in the result.

Hussey 2, Baker, Burd

injuries take their toll

18th March 2012

Deeping Rangers Blue 0 v 5 Blackstones
Deeping Rangers Blue 0 v 1 Hampton Red

Rangers fell to consecutive home defeats but injuries are starting to cost them dear. Josh Smith and Harry Mucklin both have season threatening breaks and Rangers are down to 11 fit players. Against Hampton Rangers performed superbly and battled to a man only to be denied a deserved point by a cruel last minute strike. Blackstones was just the opposite Rangers played poorly from the start and although they deserved defeat the margin was not a true reflection.

Injury time agony

4th March 2012  Lincs Cup Semi-Final

Deeping Rangers Blue 1 v 2 Bottesford Town

Deepings run in the Lincs cup came to an end at the semi final stage with heartbreak in the dying moments. Played in probably the worst conditions this team has ever encountered the Blues trailed a well organised Bottesford 1-0 at the beeak. Straight after half time Bottesford added a second but refusing to give in Rangers rallied. After great work by Jack Baker, Joe Hussey pulled a goal back and Deeping then forced a series of corners. 2 mins into added time Ryan Cotterells superb run and shot was paried by the keeper to Jack Keenan who stabbed the ball home only to be denied by the linesmans flag, true heartbreak for all the boys.

game of two halves

26th February 2012

Deeping Rangers Blue 0 v 1 Netherton Falcons

This was the preverbial game of two halves. First half the Blues pressed and made all the running but could not find a goal. The second was a complete opposite and saw Netherton dominate and take one of the chances that came their way to take all 3 points
